Sandwell Council is required by law to conduct a periodic review of it’s polling stations. There is currently a consultation exercise taking place which could have an impact on polling stations in Abbey Ward.
Two changes being proposed include closing the polling station at St Hilda’s church hall and adding those voters to those at Abbey Infants School and closing Thimblemill Library polling station and relocating to Bearwood Road School.

I don’t think that schools should be used as polling stations as this disrupts the children’s education. There are many other public buildings that could easily be used.
