St Mary’s Church Bearwood are looking for new uses for their hall, and are inviting members of the community to visit and share their thoughts, ideas and memories on Saturday 3rd December, 10am-2pm. They will also be holding their annual St Nicholas Fayre, next door in the church, with Christmas gift stalls, cakes, and refreshments.
For many years st marys was at the heart of the community.I went to brownies,guides and later became a leader,my brother went to cubs,and boy scouts.My children went to playgroup there and later to the youth club.The Xmas Bazaar had a different theme every year the stalls were di vided
between the different organisations who used the hall,it ran over 2 days and was the highlight of the organisations year,t hey benefitted as did the church.This suddenly stopped I do nt know why but no youth group. Apart from g.fs meet there,the crafty muthas have moved there fayres, we must ensure that as well as businesses using the hall there is still room for the community,thimblemill library have managed this with a lot less space
