Work is moving fast now on the restoration of the 'Kings Head' clock, ready for its unveiling back in its new home in Bearwood later this month
These 'before and after' pictures taken at the internationally renowned clock makers Smiths of Derby, show the extent to which the dome and face of the clock had deteriorated after standing outside in all-weathers for over a hundred years. They have now been restored and painting is underway, with another coat and the paint trims yet to be done.
The unveiling ceremony on the site being prepared at the junction of Bearwood Road and Hagley will take place on 24th October at 10.am
No excuse to be late for a bus when installed
