From 8 June 2015, 1000 residents from across Sandwell will be visited on their doorstep and asked their opinions about the waste and cleansing service. This survey is being carried out by an independent company called “Future Thinking” who have been commissioned by Serco. Households being surveyed have been selected to ensure that they represent a demographic sample of residents aged over 18 from across the towns in the borough.
The aim of the survey is to get detailed feedback from residents about their collection services. Crucially, this face-to-face survey includes questions used in the previous face-to-face surveys carried out in 2007-2010 before the following changes to the collection service: Introduction of wheeled bin for the domestic waste service across the borough. Introduction of weekly food waste collection services across the borough, roll out of the blue lid recycling collection across the borough (and increase to weekly frequency)
All staff working with “Future Thinking” will carry identification and if you have concerns about the validity of the survey you should call Andrea Morris on 0121 569 6880.
