Bulldozing local democracy

As we wait for the Planning Inspectorate to deliver their decision on the Thimblemill Rec site, this makes interesting reading….

Incredibly, the planning inspector attacked the council because it “relied unduly on the views of local people”.

That must be what the government call 'localism'.

    perhaps i m a little confused but i thought we elected the local council to support our views ,and judging by the support the local people have given to our local council this surely brings home the fact that local people need local council
