When the majority population of South Africa were given the right to vote, many of them queued up all night outside the polling stations to cast their vote. In this country working people fought for centuries for the universal right to vote.
In 2010 over 35% of those eligible to vote took the trouble to stroll down to the polling station and cast their vote.
