Handing out winter warmer packs

Volunteers from Smethwick in a Stew are out and about in Smethwick tonight handing out 'Winter Warmer' packs to elderly and vulnerable people.

The packs are a Sandwell Council Initiative to help the elderly and needy. Each free pack consists of hand warmers, gloves, thermal socks, a scarf, blanket, a box of cup a soup, a thermal flask and thermal hat and literature about keeping warm in winter and gettin flu jabs.

Here Councillor Richard Marshall hands of some packs to the shivering Stew-ardesses before they set out to help the needy.
