Monday 25th November – White Ribbon Day

You may be aware that Monday 25th November is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. It is more commonly known as White Ribbon Day.

Philippa Carr is offering to provide Hypnotherapy sessions on White Ribbon Day in return for donations to Sandwell Women's Aid. This will help them to raise funds to contribute towards the essential work they do with women and children affected by domestic abuse. As I am sure you are aware, the current climate has increased the need for us to support local services to ensure that they can help victims and their families in crisis.

Philippa will provide individual sessions in Bearwood. If anyone is interested, they would need to call her on 0121 532 1352 to book an appointment for Monday 25th November.

Hypnotherapy can be used for general relaxation purposes, to to stop smoking, help with losing weight and to improve sleep. Instead of her usual fee of £50, Philippa will accept a donation to Sandwell Women's Aid.

A Hypnotherapy session usually lasts for an hour. It will involve gathering some basic information about your medical history, counselling around the issue you would like to be addressed followed by some Hypnotherapy. Philippa tells me she also provides clients with a CD they can use at home.

“Hypnotherapy is a very personal process and clients provide differing descriptions of what they experience in their hypnotic trance”, says Philippa. “Many people describe it as being similar to a daydream or meditation where they are very relaxed yet aware of what is going on around them. To date, I haven't had any clients experience feeling like they are a chicken. I cannot tell a client to do anything that they do not want to do as they are in control at all times.”
