Tomorrow morning (Saturday) the Abbey Ward councillors will be out and about on our street surgeries. The surgeries are designed to enable people who may not be able to get to one of our weekly advice bureau sessions at Thimblemill Baths and give us the opportunity to speak with people in their own homes.

During this week we have circulated over a thousand leaflets that residents can display in their window between 9-30 and 11-30, and where we see the leaflet, one of us will visit. This week we are in: Poplar Rd, Anderson Rd, Drayton Road, Sherwood Rd, Herbert Rd, Lightwoods Road, Milcote Road, St Mary's Rd, (not Upper St Mary's) Loxley Rd, Long Hyde Rd, Weston Rd, Clifford Rd, Bishopton Road, and Wigorn Road.

It is important that the leaflet is displayed for the whole two hours because the time we are in any particular street depends on the number of calls we are required to make.
