This Saturday, from 6.30pm until 10pm the Thimblemill Library promises to be really rocking! In addition to the wonderful Amelia Wallace, there are local support acts including folk duo “Ship of fools”, Joe and Kim from Bearwood who have played at Warley Woods picnic and the Bearwood Shuffle, Brad & Louise, Rich Stokes from Aquilla, and, come and have a go if you think you’re good enough… an open mic session!
The Mayor of Sandwell, Linda Horton will be in attendance – Hey Lin, can you sing us a tune… at a measly £3 for adults, and kids get in for free, you won’t getter better value than that!

The Soul Providers (Hits from the ’60s Soul Greats) – 25th July – in aid of Interface Uganda –
This week we have a charity gig featuring The Soul Providers. The Soul Providers are a spin off from the Out Of The Blue Jazz Orchestra who have played a the Corks many times before and they will be bringing you a classic R&B repertoire of songs from Stax, Atlantic and other great Soul labels. The band features 3 Horns, bass guitar, drums, rhythm guitar, keyboards plus a male and a female vocalist. Musicians are from Birmingham and the Black Country and four play in Out of the Blue.
We’ve been advised to clear the dance floor area!
Proceeds will go to Interface Uganda… ..this is a plastic re-constructive surgery charity which plays an important role in getting people back into work and into society in Uganda. For more information visit their website at http://www.interfaceuganda.org
