Earlier today we went into Lightwoods House with a camera team from Central Television to film some clips for Central News, which we understand will be shown tomorrow (Wednesday) evening.
For those who were unable to go on one of the guided tours this afternoon, here are some photographs which show the sheer scale of the jobs that are to be done to restore the House to its former beauty. One particular feature which stands out is the grand dining room which goes across the whole first floor of the house without supporting pillars. It has tremendous potential for exhibitions, conferences, wedding parties, craft or antique fairs, dance, movies or theatre, and so much more.
thank you so much for putting photos on here, was unable to stay for tour so excited to see inside
Richard Marshall gave me ‘The Grand Tour of Lightwoods House’ this afternoon…..what a fantastic opportunity for Bearwood thanks to the grant of £5.2 million from The Heritage Lottery Fund……..Lightwoods House can become a great visitor attraction for Bearwood in my opinion
A round of applause to Lightwoods House – wonderful news! Here’s some photos welovebearwood took.
