soon bearwood will be charity shops, off licences and cafes
Perhaps that’s the future of high streets Hazel, as more and more people use large supermarkets or online shopping and smaller retailers struggle to compete, they will increasingly become places for leisure and convenience stores. I was in Kings Heath on Sunday evening and Cherry Reds, Loco Lounge, Kitchen Garden Cafe and Fletchers all seemed to be doing well and the place was buzzing.
Everybody loves a bit of cake!
It would be great to see another cafe, it encourages people to linger on High Street. Better than another charity shop or gaming place. We should support and encourage small businesses, this might then encourage other small businesses to open up. Good luck to the new owner.
Perhaps now I might be have a chance to serve coffee to my few loyal customers.
