Yes, that’s what the plans say.
I saw in tonight’s Chronicle that there are plans to open another takeaway in Bearwood, at the bus station, but I’m sure I remember a similar application being turned down on the Hagley Road because of the proximity to a school. Can someone enlighten me please?
These premises will require planning permission, but it is different to the application at the former New Talbot site. That site falls outside the Bearwood ‘town centre’ in the Unitary Development Plan, whereas the bus station site is within the designated town centre, and therefore applications are treated differently. The New Talbot site was also directly opposite school gates, and the bus station is further away, but as I say, it depends what is being traded and will be subject to a planning application and consultation.
