Azzari Too's monthly Pudding Club is no more. It has been dealt a mortal blow by Gloucestershire Hotel which has registered the name 'Pudding Club' as its own, and insisting that Barry from Azzari ceases to use the name 'pudding club' on any promotional material or social media.
Barry said, “I was as surprised as anyone when I received the letter from the Three Ways Hotel in Mickleton in Gloucestershire demanding that I stop using their registered name. I hadn't deliberately copied their brand name in fact, to be honest I had never heard of them, but they seemed quite upset about it so I suppose we have no choice but to change our name. From now on it will be named 'Pudding Night', and I can only hope there is not someone out there who has already registered that name.”
Richard Marshall from Bearwood Traders Association, and a man who knows a thing or two about puddings, said “Obviously they had heard about Barry's puddings and maybe they are were worried that people will start travelling to Bearwood and taking trade away from them. Having been to the two evenings held already at Azzari Too I think they are right to be concerned because they are excellent value.”
