On the 19th July 60 years ago, David Jones married Nancy Jackson Smith in St Hilda’s Church Bearwood. David lived at 121 Abbey Road, and Nancy lived nearby in Katherine Road. As you can see from this article in their local newspaper ‘The Seaport Scene’ in New Zealand, they have moved about a fair bit since, but they still have fond memories of growing up in Bearwood. David said, “We still keep in touch with Bearwood through relatives who still live there, and by reading the Bearwood Blog, which frequently brings back some memories of the good times we had growing up there.”
