Reuben James at Silvershine Jazz

Next Thursday (9th May) there is a real treat in store at Silvershine Jazz. Reuben James is an exceptionally talented pianist and a graduate of the Birmingham Conservatoire. He has led his own band for a couple of years, and performed with the late, great Abram Wilson and Birmingham’s Jazzlines quartet, in an impressive support slot for the legendary Wayne Shorter. He was also one of the musicians guesting at the Andy Hamilton tribute concert on the day of Andy's funeral.

Raised on an eclectic mix of jazz, gospel, hip hop and classical music, Reuben's experience belies his years,, and we are absolutely blown out with the musicians Reuben's bringing along with him. The band is called Kansas Smitty's and they have recently played Ronny Scott's in London.

From 8-30pm at Cork's… Don't miss it!
