Reach for the stars

Here’s hoping for a clear night tonight…

Warley Woods Community Trust, together with Birmingham Astronomy Society are holding a stargazing evening in the Woods… and even if it isn’t a clear night there will be a talk and slideshow in the Pavilion

Any time after 6pm this evening, £3 for adults, children free!

We’ve been with our 5 year old! Was busy and she loved it!

A very enjoyable evening. It was a pity the night was cloudy preventing using the telescopes outside, but the talks and visual aids were first rate. I would be interested in any future visits to the venue if they can be arranged. The experts were only too willing to explain the workings of the equipment on display and I say well done to them all. Here’s to the next event!

Yes, lots of people came and it was a shame that we couldn’t see any stars! Still we learnt a lot about what to look for and saw some fabulous telescopes on display.
